Year of the Snake
Snake is very beautiful and very smart. And then in this design I paired a snake with eucalyptus which comes with beautiful shape and different grade of blue and greens.
And for the snake itself instead of outlining the whole snake I actually use a lot of dots to create the shape of the snake.
You can see the snake is very comfortably crawling down from the branch of the eucalyptus and then look at the whole world and I think this is what we can see in natures very often.
In Chinese painting we talk about Chi very often which is where do you have the start of the painting and where do you finish with the whole painting. In the whole painting it always comes with a main line that which can guide you through the painting. And in this painting the Chi start with the top, the tip, of the branch and it goes all along the way with the shape of the snake and come out at the bottom right which connects with another eucalyptus. It also represents the sense of circle, the sense of no end, no start in Chinese culture.
