- build confidence and better understand of your role as a witnessing officer
- seek help and advice in professional development
- learn to accept responsibility for decisions and actions.
You will be able to build a relationship with your mentor, ask them questions about things that concern you, and set personal goals with them to work towards as a JP or Cdec.
The mentoring program takes place within our JPs in the Community program where you will attend one of our many signing sites. Signing sites are usually located at:
- major shopping centres
- libraries
- courts
- universities
- hospitals.
You will be required to complete and return a volunteer registration form before commencing to ensure you are covered by the Queensland Government’s liability insurance. When at a JPs in the Community signing site you will be provided all stationery (i.e. stamps, handbooks, logbooks, pens, rulers) required to carry out your role.
