Advanced mediation skills – level 3
New accreditation standards released
The Australian mediator and dispute resolution accreditation standards (AMDRAS) will soon replace the National mediator accreditation system. We will transition to AMDRAS between 1 July 2024 and 1 July 2025. During the transition, we will update this page to reflect the new standards.
A 2-day course designed for experienced mediators who want to enhance their skills and develop further professionally.
The advanced mediation skills course allows you to practise your skills and gain a deeper understanding of the co-mediation model and facilitative mediation.
The course is open to participants who have completed Mediation Levels 1 and 2 or equivalent courses recognised under the National Mediator Approval Standards .
Experienced mediators who are already nationally accredited will benefit from the opportunity to participate in professional development.
Course structure
The course is a 2-day workshop, designed to help you practise your mediation skills and receive feedback from experienced and nationally accredited mediators.
The workshop uses activities, discussion and short role-plays so you can achieve a deeper understanding of the 12-step co-mediation model, including preparation, agenda setting, debriefing and working as a team.
The workshop also focuses on current issues in mediation practice.
