Cabinet in Rockhampton to listen to community
Premier Steven Miles and his Cabinet Ministers visited Rockhampton in March for the second Community Cabinet of 2024, meeting with residents, workers and small business owners to discuss regional priorities and opportunities.
In total, 67 one-on-one deputation meetings were scheduled.
A Town Hall style meeting was also held, attended by 152 community members, as well as 15 students and representatives from Rockhampton State High School, who were given the opportunity to ask questions of the Premier and Ministers.
The Queensland Government is listening to and delivering for Central Queensland, making it an even better place to live, work and visit. This includes investing in world-class health care, addressing housing and homelessness challenges through the Queensland Big Housing Build, boosting community safety, and building the road infrastructure required to support the nation’s Beef Capital.
