Cemeteries and crematoriums
People in charge of burials or cremations can apply to be an online service provider to submit Queensland burial and cremation notifications.
By law, you must submit notification within 7 days of a burial or cremation.
This system is free and easy to use.
Existing users
What you can do online
Approved service providers can submit:
- burial or cremation notifications
- single records or access the batch upload function.
Batch upload
This function is available and requires support from your system developer/software provider.
Please provide us with the name and contact details of your system developer/software provider by email to BDMserviceprovider@justice.qld.gov.au.

Sign up for QGov account holders
To apply for access to the system, you need to:
- Read the roles and responsibilities agreement.
- Log in with your QGov account.
- Complete your online service provider details.
- Wait for us to confirm your access to the system.
Create a QGov account and sign up
To create a QGov account and sign up as an online service provider, you need to prove your identity. You will only need to do this once.
To apply for access to the system, you need to:
- Read the roles and responsibilities agreement.
- Have your proof of ID, email and mobile phone nearby.
- Complete the online service provider sign up process
- Create a QGov account
- Enter the confirmation code we send to your email account
- Complete your online service provider details.
- Wait for us to confirm your access to the system.
Documents needed
To prove your identity online, you need to provide 100 points of ID that are Australian or state-issued documents.
If you do not have 100 points of Australian or state-issued document to prove your identity online, please email BDMserviceprovider@justice.qld.gov.au.
What happens next
We will be notified that you have submitted a sign-up request and will verify your details.
You will receive an email and SMS confirming that you have been approved for access within 2 business days of when we receive your sign-up request.
