Blue cards for Youth Justice officers
If you will be working for Youth Justice you may need a blue card.
For example, an employee working in youth detention facilities are captured under the Residential facilities category of regulated employment.
Under this category a person needs a blue card if any of the usual functions of their employment are carried out—or likely to be carried out—inside a residential facility, such as a youth detention centre.
Before you can work for Youth Justice or in any child-related regulated employment, you must hold a valid blue card.
