Extra wind in Angels’ wings to support Bundaberg job seekers
Bundaberg’s Angels Community Group (Angels) is continuing its track record of helping disadvantaged job seekers, funded by the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
Angels run the Round Robin to Employment project, which is funded by Skilling Queenslanders for Work and helping to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.
Supported by more than $290,000 in Queensland Government funding and Round Robin to Employment, 12 local trainees are now on-track to gain a Certificate I in Retail Services and a pathway to employment in the region’s retail sector.
The Queensland Government also provided a healthy boost of $20,000 in additional funding to Angels to bolster their community support programs including their school lunch program.
Angels provides more than 300 lunches a week to 20 local schools, giving young minds the fuel they need to learn and thrive.
