Premier Miles and his Cabinet outline exciting future for Bundaberg
The Queensland Government’s commitment to Bundaberg was demonstrated by Premier Steven Miles and his Cabinet who met community members to discuss the city’s future.
The Community Cabinet in May was an opportunity to engage directly with residents, business owners, workers and stakeholders, and to outline the government’s vision for the region and the state.
There were more than 140 bookings for deputation meetings with Cabinet Ministers, and more than 200 residents registered for the town hall-style meeting.
The Queensland Government is investing billions of dollars in Bundaberg and across the region, including $1.2 billion for the new Bundaberg Hospital which will provide hundreds of new beds and is supporting thousands of local jobs.
Water on land and at sea is a priority for the region. Government backing for Paradise Dam upgrades is creating hundreds of jobs and securing water supply, and the Urangan Harbour master plan supports an exciting future for the maritime and tourism industries.
From Premier Steven Miles and his Cabinet – thank you Bundaberg!
