Description: This vegetation type occurs on flat to gently undulating tabletops and foot slopes of limestone deposits. Senna artemisioides dominates the sparse shrub canopy. Gossypium australe, dead finish (Acacia tetragonophylla), A. bivenosa, conker berry (Carissa lanceolata) and Eremophila latrobei subsp. glabra are frequently present in the shrub layer. Occasional low trees of bloodwood (Corymbia terminalis), supplewood (Ventilago viminalis), Georgina gidgee (Acacia georginae) and Atalaya hemiglauca may be present as emergents. The ground layer is either dominated by giant grey spinifex (Triodia longiceps), or sparse tussock grasses.

Some animals that use this habitat type: Red kangaroo, bilby, kowari and spinifex pigeon.
