Recycle Mate

Recycle Mate provides free information about localised recycling and waste reuse options and safe waste disposal options.

Recycle Mate is a national education platform, developed by the Australian Council of Recycling.

The Queensland Government is supporting the use of Recycle Mate by Queensland councils and charities.

Participating Queensland councils will be able to provide point-of-truth information to communities and respond to enquiries about kerbside and non-kerbside waste disposal and recycling, supporting the diversion of valuable resources away from landfill.

Participation of charitable organisations via Recycle Mate is important as key centres for the reuse of good quality clothing, textiles and household goods.

This initiative is supported by the Queensland Government’s Recycling and Jobs fund.
