Regional and Remote Recycling Modernisation Fund
Applications for the Regional and Remote Recycling Modernisation Fund Program are now closed.
The Queensland Government is partnering with the Australian Government to deliver the Regional and Remote Recycling Modernisation Fund (RRRMF).
The RRRMF provides funding for infrastructure and equipment projects in regional Queensland that recover or recycle material that is or will be subject to waste export bans including:
- plastics
- mixed and unsorted paper and cardboard
- unprocessed glass
- whole used tyres.
Grants of up to $500,000 will be available for local governments, and their industry partners, to improve the viability of sorting, processing, recycling or remanufacturing of waste in regional and remote Queensland.
The RRRMF is managed in partnership between the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation and the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.
Program guidelines and further information on the application process is available on the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning website.
