Overview of 2025 land valuation

For Rockhampton Regional local government area (LGA), the revaluation included 34,744 properties, with a total value of $6,617,876,661, an overall increase of 36% since the last revaluation issued in 2022.

Property market changes within the Rockhampton Regional LGA are being driven by:

  • major infrastructure projects, including upgrades to the Rockhampton Ring Road, water infrastructure and Rockhampton Airport
  • expansion of the Shoalwater Bay Training Area
  • renewable energy projects such as the Clarke Creek Wind Farm and Moah Creek solar plant
  • interstate buyers and investment
  • housing development and supply chain issues.

Explanatory notes

  • Commercial land values generally remained steady, with some properties recording minor increases.
  • Industrial land recorded a significant increase due to strong demand and limited supply.
  • Primary production land recorded a significant increase due to good seasonal conditions. In addition, cattle industry projections have created confidence through investment and expansion within the industry.
  • Multi-unit residential land recorded varying minor to moderate increases in line with the residential market.
