- Placements: This program recruits for roles in the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development only.
About this program
Come join our 12-month Graduate Excellence program where you'll have endless opportunities to help shape the future of Queensland. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals ready to take on challenging and rewarding opportunities that come with real responsibility and accountability.
Our program will enable you to build on your university studies, launch your career in a supportive environment, and assist you in your transition from study to full-time employment. Additionally, you'll receive expert coaching and mentoring from a robust network of leaders and alumni. We'll also provide you with structured learning and development to ensure you're all set for your future career with Queensland Government and achieve great milestones.
Who we are looking for
We recruit graduates from all degrees and disciplines. We would love to hear from you if you have a background in (but not limited to):
- communications
- data analytics/science
- economics
- engineering (particularly mining, mechanical and petroleum)
- environmental science
- environmental management
- finance
- geology and geoscience
- information technology
- law
- policy
- surveying
- spatial information/technology
- valuation.
Program eligibility
You are eligible to apply if you:
- have a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- have or will have completed a bachelor's degree or higher between 31 October 2023 and 31 January 2026
- are an Australian or New Zealand citizen
- are an Australian permanent resident
- have a visa with unrestricted working rights under Australian immigration law.
Additional information for international students
You are eligible to apply if you:
- can provide evidence of your visa type, status and entitlements to work prior to starting employment with us. Right to work must be maintained through employment. For more information on right to work and visa conditions visit the Department of Home Affairs.
- have obtained overseas qualification recognition if your received your degree outside of Australia.
